In 2023, Geomatikk took a major step toward climate accountability by submitting its Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory to the SBTi Target Validation Team. The submission was validated in 2024 with the 1.5°C global warming pathway, reinforcing our commitment to:
A strategic commitment
Already in 2022, the Geomatikk Group committed to setting targets in accordance with SBTi’s criteria and submitted these for validation in November of the same year. This commitment demonstrates a strong dedication to reducing the company’s climate impact and actively contributing to a sustainable future.

Key Climate Goals
The Geomatikk group is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions and has defined goals in the following areas:
- Reduce Scope 1 emissions by 54.6% by 2033.
- Monitor & optimize Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions through energy efficiency and responsible sourcing.
To achieve these targets, we are focusing on:
- Fleet emissions reduction – Fleet accounts for 56.4% of total emissions.
- Energy efficiency upgrades – Reducing office & data center energy use.
- Supply chain & travel impact mitigation – Optimizing procurement & business travel policies
To ensure progress, Geomatikk will continue tracking, reporting, and optimizing emissions data, ensuring that reductions are aligned with global best practices for climate action.

About the science based targets initiative (SBTi)
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a global initiative that helps companies set scientific targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Their experts evaluate and validate the targets submitted by companies to ensure they are scientific and ambitious enough to meet the 1.5°C goal of the Paris Agreement. SBTi also provides technical support and resources to the companies that join.

About the Paris Agreement
The Paris Agreement was adopted by the world’s countries in 2015 and aims to limit global warming by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The goal of the Paris Agreement is to keep global warming well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and to limit it to 1.5°C.
