For over 20 years, Mikhail Alexeev has been developing the digital tools that keep critical infrastructure safe—often without most people even knowing they exist.
As Vice President of Product Development at Keypro, a Geomatikk Group company, Mikhail leads a team of software developers and experts. Together, they build solutions that help telecom and utility providers map, manage, and protect the underground infrastructure we all rely on: water systems, fibre cables, power lines, and more.

Keypro’s software replaces scattered or outdated information with a centralized digital platform. It gives infrastructure owners and planners a clear view of their networks—what’s underground, where it’s located, and how to keep it protected.
– Our system brings clarity to infrastructure planning and maintenance,” Mikhail explains. “It helps avoid mistakes that can lead to disruption or environmental harm.
He shares a concrete example: if a water pipe breaks in a city, the software can quickly identify the affected area, helping clients isolate the issue before contaminated water spreads. And if damage is avoided altogether, so is the additional environmental impact. That’s a key part of what these tools are designed to support.
Two Worlds, One Mission
Keypro’s products serve two main sectors: telecom (everything that enables internet access) and utilities (such as water networks and related infrastructure). Mikhail oversees product development in these domains—solutions that are in daily use across Europe by more than 300 customers.
From the early days of hands-on development to today’s cloud-based, user-driven platforms, Mikhail has been part of Keypro’s continuous evolution. Product managers and developers stay close to clients, tracking trends and emerging needs to guide the next phase of innovation.

Mikhail’s work lives at the intersection of technology, leadership, and collaboration. Based in Finland, he leads an international team of professionals from diverse backgrounds.

As part of the broader Geomatikk Group, Mikhail also collaborates closely with teams in Spain, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. They use shared platforms and digital tools to stay connected across borders—while staying aligned on purpose and product.
