From Field Experience to Industry Innovation: Didde’s Journey at LIFA - Geomatikk Group
When Didde Stenholt starts her week, she brings focus, collaboration, and curiosity to the table. For her, work is a space where innovation grows through teamwork, trust, and shared responsibility.

When Didde joined LIFA A/S, she brought with her over a decade of hands-on experience in the utility sector, working with sewer, water, and other essential services, and a clear understanding of the practical tools the industry truly needs.

During her years on the client side, she was constantly trying to find smarter ways of doing things and looking for new digital solutions that could support the demands of the industry. But she quickly realized that the solutions she was looking for didn’t exist and she ended up inventing several digital solutions herself. One of these solutions was a system for registering QR codes on drinking water pipes to ensure traceability. During a conference presentation of the QR project, she caught the attention of two business leaders from LIFA, and that meeting opened a new chapter: Didde joined the company with a shared ambition to bring the tool to more utility providers across Denmark.

Not long after, she was invited to share her observations in a board meeting. She offered a fresh perspective on how LIFA could strengthen collaboration between its digital and field teams. That contribution led to a new invitation—this time, to become a partner.

Today, Didde is one of two women among 28 co-owners of LIFA A/S, but, for her, it’s not about the title. What matters most is the trust that exists within the team and the shared focus on making a difference.

– We’re all treated the same. Everyone works toward the same goal.

From Designer to Developer of Industry Solutions

Didde trained as a technical designer, originally imagining she might apply her skills in areas like architecture or maybe fashion as some of her co-students. But her path took a different turn—one grounded in practical outcomes and long-term value.

Now working in business development, she channels her field experience into tools that address real pain points. One of the solutions that she developed on the client side, is now part of LIFA Digital’s offering helping utility companies across Denmark save time, reduce manual work, and improve efficiency.

– It’s based on real needs. I’ve been in their shoes. That’s why I understand the real needs they have.

A Team Culture Where No One Is Left Behind

What makes LIFA Digital feel like home to Didde is its people-first culture. For her, it feels like being part of a professional family—one where no one is left behind. She’s known for her positive energy, often lifting the mood around her. Whether on a 24-hour company trip or during a busy workweek, she brings a mindset of shared responsibility, inclusion, and optimism.

– You don’t need a leadership title to make a difference. Just showing up with care and commitment can have a real impact.

Shaping What’s Next for the Sector

Didde is motivated by a broader purpose: lifting the utility industry through tools and services that are relevant, easy to use, and rooted in reality. Her goal is to help utilities modernize outdated processes while making transitions smoother for the people behind the work.

With a focus on solutions, she collaborates across companies and countries—always looking at how to lift the sector, one step at a time.

– We try to look at the industry from all angles and build what makes the job easier—for the people doing the work, and for those they serve.
