Geomatikk Group has appointed Erik Sjöberg as its new Group CEO, effective 1 July 2026. Erik brings deep industry expertise and first-hand knowledge of Geomatikk’s operations, and is appointed to lead the company’s continued growth across the Nordic region and Europe. The company also wishes to thank outgoing CEO Geir Hansen for his significant contribution to Geomatikk’s transformation over the past four years.
Erik Sjöberg is transitioning into the Group CEO role from his role as Managing Director of Geomatikk Sweden, a position he has held since August 2024. His background spans senior roles at Ericsson, Telenor, Net4Mobility and Vimla — giving him both the technical depth and commercial experience relevant to Geomatikk’s core business of protecting critical infrastructure. Having led the Swedish operations, Erik brings direct knowledge of the company’s people, culture, and the markets it serves.

Erik Sjöberg
Geir Hansen joined as Group CEO in 2021 and has since led Geomatikk through a period of significant growth and development. Over four years, the company completed nine strategic acquisitions, expanded its software offering, and drove operational improvements including increased AI automation — solidifying its Nordic position and building a strong foundation for continued European growth.
